Technology media company Red Herring has announced the winners of its Red Herring 100 Europe 2009 awards for most promising technology companies.
The winners include:
- Epuramat, a Luxembourg-based firm that provides innovative systems for the efficient treatment of wastewater;
- Oslo-based Rubberduck Media Lab, which makes TV and video work on handsets;
- Israel-based PLYmedia, which provides a language and closed captioning system that enables online publishers to target an audience beyond native English speakers;
- Clearpace Software of Gloucester, which provides long-term data archiving services;
- Belfast’s SLA Mobile, which provides high-tech platforms and services for mobile phone operators;
- OpenTrust of Paris, a provider of online security services; and
- Oversi, based in Israel, which offers a multiservice platform for over-the-top content, including Internet video, peer-to-peer (P2P) and other media applications.
