E.ON to give bright spark £10k innovation prize

451097_my_mate_dave.jpgE.ON, the power firm, is calling for entries for its EnergyLab competition with a prize of £10,000.

Philippa Forrester, who Greenbang used to fancy but not any more, is giving out the prizes next year.

Here’s the lowdown, but essentially the deadline is November 30th:

As E.ON EnergyLab enters its second year, anyone can take part by entering in one of two award categories:

E.ON EnergyLab Award: This category is open to everyone, from potting shed inventors to canny customers, with the winning inventor receiving a cash prize of £10,000;

LIFE-IC Technology Award: This new category is aimed at encouraging those who are already studying or working in the field of engineering or technology. The winner will receive a cash prize of £5,000 plus support and consultancy from world class business accelerator LIFE-IC to help get their idea into production.

Philippa Forrester said: “The beauty of the E.ON EnergyLab is that it’s open to everyone regardless of age or experience. I’d encourage anyone with a nifty energy saving idea, however simple it may be, to get online and take part.”
